X was a British musician, singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist of the band Queen. X composed many hits for Queen, including "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Killer Queen" and "We are the champions". He is widely considered one of the greatest vocalists of all time, and was well known for his flamboyant stage persona. Google made a doodle in his honour on September 5.
